A family of four will go through approximately a half of beef in one year with moderate usage (eating beef an average of 3 meals per week).

Based on this estimate:

2 people: 1/8th of a beef with light usage, or ¼ of a beef with moderate usage per year.

4 people: ¼ of a beef with light usage, or ½ of a beef with moderate usage per year.

6 people: ½ of a beef with light usage, or a whole beef with moderate usage per year.

*Our family of 6 easily goes through a whole beef per year, but this includes serving beef at numerous dinners throughout the year for 6+ people.

Our Process  FAQ’S:

WHY DOES YOUR BEEF TASTE SO GOOD?

Great beef start with great genetics and we work hard to raise quality product from start to finish.  We’ve been the leader in Charolais genetics for decades. Our animals are fed high quality feed for their entire lives. We finish our beef for an extended finish time, and we dry age the carcass for a minimum of 21 days. For our consumers that translates to premium flavor and tenderness in every bite.

WHAT DOES DRY-AGING MEAN?

Dry aging is a craft tradition that used to be the industry standard but has been replaced with wet aging for expediency. The process of dry aging requires extra time, commitment and cost. Dry-aged beef is the process of exposing the meat to air so dehydration can further concentrate the meat’s flavor, consequently, meat that has been dry aged has a remarkable depth of flavor.

WHY IS GRAIN FINISHED BEEF SO DELICIOUS?

Beef that has been grain finished like our DeBruycker Charolais is perfect for the dry-aging process because of the marbling of the meat. Beef that is only grass fed is not conducive to dry aging and is not as tender as our Charolais that we raise on the grass lands of Montana along  the Rocky Mountain front and we fatten/finish on barley.

DO YOU GIVE YOUR CATTLE ANTIBIOTICS?

We never use sub-therapeutic antibiotics. WE do, on rare occasions use antibiotics to treat sick animals.

DO YOU GIVE YOUR CATTLE GROWTH HORMONES?

Never. Our meat is 100% free of any kind of growth hormones or any added hormones. Our Charolais Cattle are raised on sunshine, grass, grain and love.

WHERE IS DEBRUYCKER BEEF PROCESSED?

We are committed to help grow and strengthen local economies and support other small businesses. We process our beef with another local Montana company, Whites Meats, a USDA inspected facility based in Ronan, Montana.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We are located in Dutton, MT along the dramatic Rocky Mountain front, which forms the seam between the wild lands and wilderness of the Lewis and Clark National Forest and the foothills and plains of north central Montana.
